The above films (apart from the wolf of wall street) are all U.K. based films featuring violence, gangs, weapons, drugs etc. which are the conventions of british gang films which is what we wanted to do. However, we wanted a high profile sort of gangster and decided to do a corrupt businessman which we struggled to find a british based film on and instead found "the wolf of wall street"which portrayed a similar sort of storyline we wanted but of course more drug related corruption instead of corruption through shareholders. We wanted the class and style of "The wolf of wall street" and the violence, sexism and drugs as the british shows and films have
